I was based in San Francisco until the summer of 2023, but I’m moving back to Tokyo for a time. My work visa in the U.S. is still valid, but I will continue to live in Tokyo for a while longer until my personal updates are complete.

Phi 2.0🏝️

It has been a year since our mainnet launch and we are operating with reduced functionality for Phi 2.0.

With over 150,000 wallet connections, 100,000 community users, and 4 million mints, we are working on new products to build a community ecosystem that will allow Phi to continue to grow.

Light Wallet App👛

Light has been in development since 2022, but there have been no significant updates since the release of LightWallet in 2023. We will begin development of a new product in the summer of 2023, and plan to release another product in the spring of 2024.

Utility AI tool using Voice📢

In 2023, ChatGPT and image generation AI appeared and became tools for daily use in less than a year. we were exploring AI-based products in Figma Plugin and came up with a voice-based utility tool that can solve more user pains, so we are developing I am now working on it. Originally, an engineer friend of mine had created it for his personal use, but after listening to the audio file, he realized that it could be applied to various applications, and he and his friend are building a platform because they felt it had potential.

There are many things we are building, including WebApp, Mobile App, and Chrome Extention, but we will gradually release our products to the public during 2024.

For community contribution and a new multi-location lifestyle🚄💨

My local friend and I have initiated a project dedicated to creating furniture and miscellaneous goods using architectural materials and waste, as well as focusing on renovations. Currently, an architect friend is renovating a two-story building, creating a space that includes living quarters, a studio, and a shared area. This studio represents a unique project that prioritizes creativity and sustainability. In addition to the realm of digital products, we have also been involved in community contribution activities and lifestyle creation since last year.

Angel Investment in Startups👼

In 2023, I made angel investments in two startups (Company A: a matching app and Company B: a tourism platform). I am both an investor and a designer, and I will continue to work on these startups while seeking what form is best for them and for me. Both startups are in completely different fields and have founders of different ages.

What makes them different from the startups I have been involved with since their inception is that they all have relatively good talent and have already achieved a certain level of traction and monetization at an early stage. While the numbers are not overwhelming yet, Company A is using video marketing via Tiktok and Instagram to rapidly grow among teens with a product they created in less than a month and an App Store ranking (All Free Apps) in the top 10. Company B has already partnered with several local governments and is developing its product while monetizing it.

I’m not looking for immediate results, but I’ll continue to study while being involved in startups from a long-term perspective.

For me, the year 2024 is the end of a long period of turbulence and will be a year of challenges. Rather than starting a number of new things, I intend to shape the things I have been working on little by little so that they can be made public one by one.
